we're talking only like 250 more than my last job paycheck so like on the whole it's not that significant I guess? but like. that's still More. that's still 250 more I can do something with
(next week we're only on for three days cuz the docs are taking friday to do continuing education stuff so on one hand only three days on the other hand 4 day weekend)
I waffled on getting a ticked bc...expensive? but otoh I can easily eat the price in all you can eat crab (and bbq) and then some. plus some of the proceeds go to the local food bank
my bro left yesterday morning on a weeklong vacation up north, doing a little NH, doing a little Mass. the weather should be beautiful for him to do mt washington
mom and I are glad he's taking time for himself. pretty sure he's only ever taken vacation from his job to do family vacay. and we get it, it's a state job, they never have enough people, etc, but it's good he's doing something for himself
I also really gotta have myself a sit-down and make vague plans for lunch things work-wise. maybe I'll stay for lunch all three days cuz I'm really barrelling toward the end of this book I've been trying to read for a year
and hopefully receptionist doesn't go OH NO WHY WHAT'S WRONG when I say I'm staying she's so...she's very.......overly concerned catholic grandmother type
oh I also gotta get TSO tickets. it sounds like they've changed their show back to the good one and not the shitty hallmark movie one? but also tickets expense and bro is ambivalent so it's like idk do we really want to go?
it'll be the later show cuz I'll still be at work for the earlier show, and mom's always hungry and bro doesn't like crowds and then it's forever to get out of the parking lot but eh. we'll see. mom's excited to go back to going to the shows anyway
ooo, there's like a lil festival-like thing down main street, with booths out front of the local businesses. well, guess I know what I'm doing with the rest of my morning! maybe I'll pick up lunch along the way before I head to the library
a little beer, a lil wine, some nibbles, got some stuff from the tea shop (that wasn't tea I promise)--cute! I'm overheated tho and a littleheadachy so I need me some water and lunch
the wines were local, the whole thing is a local event, but honestly between the crisp apple white and the pumpkin spice I gotta tell ya there wasn't TOO much flavor. the spice was way more spice than anything recognizably pumpkin. the apple was fine but just. kinda generally tasted like a sweet white? than specifically apple?
