also man I always forget how terse Smoker is like. He just says shit and doesn't explain it and even is like "I don't gotta explain shit, if they don't get it that's because they're stupid"
And Marco will stalk and/or solo have a talk with Smoker that basically amounts to "You hurt Ace I'll strew your innards all over all six cities, use your seastone to drain your blood and crush your bones into a white paint <3"
he's all for making promises and being loyal to those promises but he thinks making a production out of it to make a promise in front of people that you've probably already made to each other is stupid to the point of being offensive
I have no doubt that the way things stand currently, Ace would choose Smoker over his brothers. And Namur wants to fight because like hell is he losing Ace again. But fighting would ultimately lead to making Smoker look better, so ffffff
Like, Ace doesn't want to have to choose anyone. He wants a decently happy family situation, even if not everyone gets along. But if he's forced to choose, it's going to be a mess. It'd be bad on him.
Also it's not like he said anything about the marriage part. he just thinks "I wanna join you but not join you" is one of the dumber things that's come out of smoker's mouth
Although you made Marco twitch he's like "we're totes pirates!!! >> << /tries valiantly to think of actual pirate shit they've done other than blackmail, bookkeeping, money laundering etc."
if it were up to Namur he'd say "take a mark" but he's just been crowing about how Smoker has to recognize Marco as the head so lol dodged a bullet there, Smoker
Namur: marriage is stupid. Why you gotta make a big deal out of making promises you can make on your own? Also Namur: to join the family we gotta have a meeting, you gotta take a mark, you gotta swear loyalty, drink the sake
read: crasheshe could get seastone if he wanted it. mwahahahahaI'm so sorrythis is why Namur is not the captainAlso Namur: to join the family we gotta have a meeting, you gotta take a mark, you gotta swear loyalty, drink the sake
