A new cafe opened downtown. I walked in and heard, "Just you?" She sounded disappointed, too. I ordered the bacon mac & cheese. The waitress said, "Is that all? It's not very much."
I predict the new cafe will not do well. I won't be back.

Not encouraging for sure.

Clearly, my hometown is not known for its hospitality. But the bacon mac was good.

Staff can get replaced. Hopefully the owner has a clue.

If I was greeted like that I would probably have just left.

I would have responded "is that a problem?" and probably have left. But I am old and don't care. LOL

Morandia : I should have left. I did FB message the owner, but I don't think she cared. Her response was the the waitress is young and this was a "learning opportunity." I responded that it was a learning opportunity for me, as well. I learned not to go back.

management seems to be lacking too. bet they don't last as a business
