is there anything more satisfying than seeing a pompous asswipe who thought they were above the law get slammed for being a creep, because I think there is not
The defamation and possibly the civil conspiracy claims for Rial/Toye/Funi still need to be ruled on, but everything else was dismissed from the bench.
I want to tweet that yellow bastard with something along the lines of "If there's judicial misconduct, wouldn't it be great to have a competent lawyer that could address it?"
i like (read "am terrified by" how these folks can see ty go in there with no evidence, get dismissed on points where he literally was like "i dont know", and still go THE JUDGE WAS BRIBED LAW IS MEANINGLESS WE HAVE TO TAKE MATTERS INT OUR OWN HANDS. Its scary how far from reality people get just because they'd prefer a vast conspiracy over the truth.
At this point, ALH and Beard are both still talking and JC says "One of y'all needs to figure out who is doing this argument." He then says let's deal with this later and move on to the TCPA stuff.
So here we get to the notary thing. Beard is now requesting a trial amendment to add the unsworn declarations, and attempts to explain he thought he could notarize by phone. I'm not sure anyone is buying this.
Like I feel like if he'd hired someone remotely competent, he might have gotten money out of Rial and Toye (but not Funi or Marchi, those cases were bullshit in their entirety)
> [tweet] Ty: Funi has been vague about investigation! Because it would show rial is a liar! And that goes to conspiracy because why did they care! > comment: Cma we talk about Pepe Silvia??
He's Vic Mignogna's incompetent lawyer. Dan Olson was joking that he'd have had better luck if he'd tried the folk-superstition techniques of Sovereign Citizenship, which is basically the essential oils of legal defense
I mean to do it right you can't just... reject aloud the authority of the court, they won't go "oh well I guess we can't do anything if you don't want us to," and you can't just say the judge's name three times to make them disappear.
From what I gather, the full SovCit tactic is to do that and then sue the judge to create a conflict of interest so you have to get shunted off to some other judge--then sue that judge, etc, until the state gets sick of dealing with you one way or another.
I finally went through every little tweet and reply of the livetweeting, I feel like I need to take my shirt off, recline in bed, and be smoking a cigarette
I'm amused at one of the vicstans wanting to completely boycot Funi and petition Toei to use a different company for their anime productions. 1) Don't let the door hit you on the way out. Or do, don't care, bye. 2) lol you think Toei really cares beyond making money off of the dub productions in the west
I'm starting to think that nothing short of Vic getting thrown in jail over some of the shit he's done will wake any of these people up, and even then it'd only be some
still think that a lot of people are forgetting that Vic started this. He painted a giant target on himself by trying to sue and intimidate the other parties into silence in a state where there are huge consequences for pulling that shit
In another exchange, a slightly exasperated Chupp said, “Am I not being clear?” Beard responded, “No, your honor, it’s that I’m not listening“ -- to which the judge said, “It would help if you would.”
She was trying to cover the clusterfuck that was Percy's weekend filings and plot twists just kept on happening, so she had to scrap her article and rewrite it around seven times.
( As a note, I'm really fond of Sharon Grisby for avoiding Vic's own press kit in favor of digging up one of his recent convention photos, where you can tell he's either done more surgeries than Cher or is just a water goblin wearing a very ill-fitting human skin. )

Beard is frantically handing notes to ALH during this.

ehehehe
because he is white, a man, straight, and in Texas he would automatically win?
or was it Monica Rial???Beard later reacted with surprise when Chupp indicated he had dropped all the claims against March: “Wait, defamation was dismissed as well?”
“Yes, I said that a long time ago,” Chupp had to point out.

IT WOULD HELP IF YOU WOULD
I'M KICKIN MY ASS, DOYAMIND?
"On what grounds?"
"...it's devastating to my case!"
'GOOD CALL!'
