[Yarn stuff] So one of my friends has invited me to a weekly Sip n' Stitch knitting circle that happens every Friday at a really lovely LYS

The issue is that it starts at 6 pm on Fridays, which means that in order to get to it at a reasonable time, I'd either have to drive my car into work and spend $12 to park it all day, or take the local bus which would take the very long way around, going through downtown and back

As a CMU employee, public buses are free for me, but the bus ride would be about 50 minutes long, meaning no dinner for me, and I'd have to transfer in downtown, which I really don't want to have to do when it starts getting dark earlier in the evenings.

there is a shorter bus route, taking the hypotenuse of this triangle, but it would only get me partway and then it would be a 20+ minute walk across several blocks and a bridge

alternative could be for me to drive in, park my car several blocks away in a neighborhood where I don't have to pay for parking, and take a quick 8-minute bus ride to where my car is parked.

So far I've only been to the circle a couple of times, on Fridays when I already had the day off so I could drive without worrying about parking, and the circle was so nice and welcoming! And it wraps up at 8:30 which means I could get home in time to watch Dan's twitch stream
