they are! Dad related the story of me cussing out our computer when I was about the same age ('no more than six' he says)

we had a good old Commodore 64 in the playroom, and as he walks by he realizes it's clearly not doing what I want it to, and he's about to come in and ask if I need help when I slap it upside the monitor and call it a 'stupid fucking machine' and he had to backtrack and get to the kitchen before he could laugh

(and tell my ma' of course)

because their thing was always that if we were going to cuss we had to do it A, in context and B, not in front of grandma

lol!! those are good rules. my 4 year old will announce "that is fucking beautiful!" at stuff because i do. I try to watch what I say buuuuut I slip up lol

I HAVE DONE THIS (regarding the Hunger Games epilogue, bestie likes the 'but babies solve everything' ending and I hate it, and I think the reason she had an emotional attachment to it/felt that Katniss had an emotional attachment was bc she listened to an audiobook and the narrator reminded her of someone she knows)
