Legend of the White Dragon didn't come even halfway to its funding goal, which honestly astonished me.

tbh i'm betting part of it is, the little-funders, the like five-dollar-per-project people, they're already getting what they want out of nostalgia trips via the comic books

and the younger generation of those, you know, they ... don't care about JDF or tommy lol

I don't know any details but I've seen rumblings of other former Ranger projects getting crowdfunding then not delivering results, too, which may have made people wary

Legend of the White Dragon also, from what I remember, pretty blatantly ripped off some PR elements enough to where if they were funded I am sure Hasbro would've brought the hammer down and told them they needed to change things

(like, I seem to remember the city they were in was directly called Angel Grove, the suit was p. much a kitbash of MMPR Green and Drakkon, getting powers via the use of a gem/crystal like in Dino Thunder + Dino Charge, the heroes were called Rangers and so on)

yeah i think a couple just kind of fell apart or weren't entirely honest about why they didn't do what they promised or sth
