Just sobbed my way through the evening news.

All those lives lost, the woman sobbing because she tried desperately to save the life of one of the victims, but he died in her arms.

Yeah,,, I... I've been crying a lot with the news on

Then, bless them, the last of the news was just the names and faces of those who died.

...I had a conversation with a foreign colleague, today, at lunch, who said it seemed like we (I'm not sure if he meant Americans in general or just the two Americans at the table) had accepted mass shootings as normal.

......and I had to try to explain that, no, we're still upset and angry, but when something keeps happening again and again for more than a year, it's a different kind of upset and anger from something that happens once out of the blue.

and there are people not seeking medical attention out of fear because of their immigration status

It's just all terrible.
