epistemological Jon's username references the study of knowledge and discerning what is and isn't 'knowledge' which seemed very apt. The fact that it also looks very much epistolary and the format of the show is very much in that vein a lot of the time felt right
granularity Sand's username, is a reference ot the fact that he's both a man made of Sand and the fact that he's had his life slowly and granularly be worn away by time. It also references his work as a detective, both in the sense of working through his dreams down to a granular level to find information out
and in the sense that he considers his work granular as opposed to other superheroes who do big important world saving things all the time. he's the dirt guy who hunts down serial killers.
