Interview went...okay???

It wasn't spectacular but it wasn't a disaster.

I'll know by the end of next week if they'll go forward with a second interview for me or if they'll be like "nope lolbye."

Which, tbh, would not be super heartbroken if the latter were the case, although it would simplify things.

I'm tentatively excited about the position and responsibilities (NO SALES METRICS FOR ME, STABLE SCHEDULE), but the company is apparently garbage.

It's ranked lower than McDonalds on Glassdoor.

In my position I might be able to escape some of the bullshit, and the dress code has lightened up slightly since the time that a lot of the reviews were posted (I READ ALL 850+ OF THEM BECAUSE IT WAS A TRAINWRECK), but......egh.

And that it's potentially not as bad as the reviews you were reading to me sounded.

Yeah, plus it's a new location, so maybe a fresh start will help?

I don't look forward to needing to buy a whole new wardrobe (and I'm hesitant to do it at VM due to not only pricing but also because of how the company apparently treats employee purchases), but that's potentially a thing with other positions.

And at least I'd be going into things with eyes wide open (or as wide as I can open my Asian eyes) and potentially an exit plan.

Yeah, I'm thinking it could at least look good on my resume.

And I'd learn a little more about merchandising too.

I'd be responsible for a lot more than at HT, both in terms of physical scope and in terms of tasks.
