He's had issues in the past with crystals in his urinary tract, and I haven't been giving him wet food quite as often lately, so I think that's the problem.

But he's definitely been in some pain all night, to the point where he's occasionally been just randomly hissing or growling in discomfort.

I got him some wet food - including a bit of prescription urinary care wet food - into him last night, but when I tried it again this morning he ignored it.

The vet got things flowing again, and said that I did all of the right things for him, including the painkillers.

He's got a refill of them (they can help relax muscles), and I've got directions to get him onto prescription urinary control foods.

The vet gave me samples of a different prescription wet food to see how he likes it, and right now he seems to be enjoying it.

(They're also running very low on dry food, which kinda helps because he's prolly really hungry right now and thus will chow down on almost anything.)
