drove a few hours south from l'anse aux Meadows to Gros Morne National Park, where we will "base camp" for most of a week. Nice house on a hill overlooking the harbor.

just learned interesting tidbit- these mountains around me are, geologically, the northern end of the good ol' Appalachian mountains. Feels like home.....
