You ever had to listen to people having a shouted argument about whether the moon landing is fake?

oh man this is a mess lemme try again

The person who argued that the moon landing was fake did not use google and kept insisting that he was right to the person who argued that the moon landing was real and who actually did use google

the main point of the argument was that "flags don't move in space"

and also "nothing moves in space"

now I sure as heck am not a rocket scientist but I'm p sure a lot of things move in space

i am a rocket scientist and i can assure you the flag thing is bullshit B|b

any rocket scientisty wisdom you can share as to why?

okay so

they wanted to plant a flag, but in vacuum, it would just hang limp

so they built a telescoping pole along the top of the flag that would hold it out permanently

when the astronauts went to set it up, the pole got stuck not quite out the whole way, but it made the flag look like it was waving in the wind, so they left it like that

also, sometimes the moon hoaxers claim the video shows the flag waving in an actual breeze, but it's clear it's just motion being transmitted along the flag pole as the astronaut gets it into the ground

tl;dr moon hoaxers are shit at physics
