就香港政治而言，不只是競爭環境的不公平。整個遊戲的規則，甚至遊戲的目的，都在不斷被改寫。在破壞立法會的行動中，抗議者的憤怒不僅針對一項法律，還針對剝奪他們公民權的整個體系。

這種破壞行為，可能讓許多先前支持該運動的溫和派人士無法接受。但我看到大樓外有很多人支持抗議者的目標。他們不是煽動者，而是學生、社會工作者和理療師，他們覺得，自己已經沒有什麼可以失去的了。

立法會大樓另一側的牆上懸掛著另一條橫幅，上面寫著：「If we burn, you burn with us」（要燒死我們，我們同歸於盡）。
