also the spider love actually started with my very first journal rp character, Lord Recluse from City of Villains.

He had an extremely spider-themed faction named Arachnos, and was one of the most competent lead villains I'd seen at that point. And I was an itty bitty gender-confused goth bundle of nerd rage, so not only did I latch onto this guy, I also decided "YOU KNOW WHAT" "I HAVE NOW DECIDED SPIDERS ARE REALLY COOL TOO"

and then I realized they actually were really cool, after I'd already made that decision.
