In good news, the dumpster did indeed motivate us to do a big purge, and I managed to clear out the basement yesterday. This was a huge deal since the (unfinished) basement has been a mess since we bought the house a decade ago, and remained a catch all for all junk. And the laundry is down there so I am the only person going down on regular basis.

Still need to do a closet purge but well on the way!.
