Went out and did some medically inadvisable gardening. It was a good break, I fucking LOVE gardening and really just general physical labour.

We're going for ice cream because we actually did way MORE gardening than planned and we fucking earned it. This is how my "sit in one place and weed the potted vegetables" turned into "crawl under the porch and destroy all the invasives devouring the porch from below."

We have some kind of monstrously spiny thing that grows EVERYWHERE and we've just taken to calling it "danger plant" and there was a LOT of that. Gloves don't really deter it, I just clip it with the hedge trimmers and use those to convey the defeated plant to the compost bag like a pair of tongs, then trowel up the roots.

Seems like a good plan. GOD you're gonna be exhausted. I'm glad you had the energy to do this, though.

YEAH I'm gonna fuckin PAY for this tonight and tomorrow, possibly Sunday too. But it was very satisfying and I feel tangibly accomplished, so: worth it.

YEAH, exactly. I'm not allowed to do the big things I used to love, like skiing and martial arts but the trade off between my mental health and my physical maintenance can't just be a one-way street :V
