But first, Shiro. We have no canon information on his family whatsoever, unfortunately. My headcanon on the matter is that his dad must've been super hot because /gestures at Shiro, I think he had a good relationship with his parents prior to canon because his life is shitty enough without family problems on top of all that, and I'm kind of thinking that

probably his parents were casualties of the Galra conquering Earth in the three-year timeskip, because yes actually his life is pretty shitty anyway.

Shiro does not have children of his own and is probably not planning on having any with his husband, just adopting a million dogs, but token mention of the rest of Team Voltron who he did have to Dad for a while there even if he will insist it was Big Brothering.

Also shout out to Sam Holt; you will take my headcanon that Shiro accidentally called him Dad once during the Kerberos mission from my cold dead hands.

So Booster! Hoo boy!!! Booster's dad is named Jonar Carter, and he's awful, just the worst. When Booster and his twin sister were 4, Jonar lost everything the family had gambling and then just fucking bounced. And then years later, when Booster had just started college on his football scholarship, Booster went and. Tracked the piece of shit down. Which

really kills me, honestly, that it wasn't that Jonar noticed that his kid was getting famous and decided to take advantage of it, it was Booster who reestablished contact. Anyway, Jonar was still in awful horrible gambling debt, so he pressured Booster into gambling, which led to Booster's football career ending before it even actually became a career.

Booster doesn't see Jonar again for a solid decade and some change, where he suddenly re-enters his life as a time-traveling supervillain who is actually being mind controlled by a psychic worm from space with a grudge. COMIC BOOKS.

Booster's feelings about his dad can be summed up by how, shortly after discovering that this masked supervillain is actually his dad and beating him, Booster makes a comment about how he hopes that Jonar got stuck in dinosaur times and became a meal for more than one, (and that's practically a direct quote, he's very specific about hoping his dad gets

torn apart by raptors or whatever), and then any time he's actually around Jonar there's a lot of crying and apologizing.

Booster has some Issues about his dad.

And while it's not really relevant to my canonpoint at all, Booster as a dad! Late on in his second ongoing, Booster kind of accidentally adopts a girl from the 31st century named Rani, while swearing up and down and backwards that he is not a dad now, okay, which /gestures to everything about Booster's relationship with his own dad You can see why he'd

have issues with that. He's a cute dad, though, even if he pretends he isn't.

And unbeknownst to him, Rip Hunter is also his kid from the future!

They didn't reveal this until a year into the second ongoing!

I spent the entire year up to that point cracking jokes about how Rip shouldn't have hired Booster for this Time Master job just because he had a huge crush on him, because what else would explain his poor hiring choices!!!

It was a bad time!!!!!!

Rip's relationship with present Booster is. Rocky. Because Rip is Booster's boss and Booster has objections about a lot of aspects of the job. Rip's relationship with his dad Booster (or, Michael, I should say; he's dropped the Booster nickname by then) is pretty good, though! His childhood was extremely non-standard, thanks to Booster's Time Mastering job

being Extremely Risk Business, but it's very clear that Booster raised him with a lot of love and support and Rip respects and admires his dad an awful lot and the rare times we see them together, they get along well.
