Character dads?

Ky Kiske in canon he's an orphan, in the gaiden manga of very dubious canon we never see his dad, so it's assume his father died when he was very young. Kliff is the closest thing he had to a father figure, but he's more his commander than a parental figure (and Kliff is kind of a shitty dad to his own kid Testament)

And Ky himself is - not the greatest dad because he had no one to really figure this out on, and was also in a position where he couldn't publicly acknowledge Sin as his child. (ALSO WHAT IS WITH THAT NAME KY?)

But starting at the end of Overture and into Xrd, he's starting to get closer to his son and honestly trying to make an effort to be a good parent.

in Daybreak, his dad was a comte (A count), and was a very old school sort of father who mainly was around to make sure his sons grew up strong in arm and religious but spent more time attending to affairs of the county and to country.

Sherlock Holmes we actually do not get much information on his parents. We know his family used to be country squires, but probably no longer.

while this likely Doyle not seeing a point, but we can infer that Sherlock is not at all close to his father, and may even be deceased by the time of A Study in Scarlet

(I'm gonna say likely just entirely massive personality clash and mutual stubbornness)

and despite being only 7 years older, Mycroft is more the older male relative Sherlock relies on.

Sherlock has no kids, even assuming a straight Sherlock - and honestly has no desire for them, he rather be the cool uncle

(though he did admit to having parental affection for Ritsuka)

Ryoga Hibiki His dad is as lost as he is, he hasn't seen his father in literal years, but they always talk for a long time when they're able to catch each other on the phone

they got a good relationship if distant because of the Hibiki family inability to tell direction

Holmes never mentions in the novels or in FGO of his parents

so Pastiches take it to mean that his father was abusive, while I'm reluctant personally to apply such headcanons unless there's some pretty compelling explanations for behavior where such a background makes sense

honestly I take some of his mannerisms is likely someone who had very strict parents and went completely buckwild once out on his own
