Some people may misunderstand that the decision by Carrie Lam was one that the Bill would be shelved “infinitely”, but it is not true. However, what Carrie Lam announced was no more than

just "pause it [the legislative process] temporarily" in Chinese language. This does not mean the Bill will be shelved or withdrawn. In fact, the Hong Kong SAR government may resume the process any time as it may wish in future which poses a permanent threat to everyone in Hong Kong. The decision is far from what the people of Hong Kong demand and our demand

is consistently clear and loud: withdraw the Bill in entirety permanently.
