Cyberpunk fans didn't mind it when Shadowrun and the tabletop Cyberpunk 20XX games made it clear trans surgery was easy and common enough that no one felt the need to comment.

probably because it wasn't publicized the way a AAA game is so they could ignore it when they ran their own games

or possibly because they're fake fans looking for the next threat to masculinity to wage a war against

There was some beef in Shadowrun because CGL writers were using "being trans is not a big deal at all so we don't mention it" as an excuse to not mention it at all/not bother mentioning gender nonconforming characters in a recent book iirc, but i got that wank secondhand.

CGL is a disaster, but that's another rant
