When google developed the game Ingress which was the predecessor to Pokemon game all of us who played had one or more power bricks to keep our phones charged. You are using data, GPS, and the screen constantly so it will eat up your battery. I don't play anymore, but still use my brick and take it with me when I go into the city, it is always in my pack.
