I sleep way too fucking much and my periods are way too long and although I am not overweight I'm still trying to kill some of the baggage I gained when I started my meds a while back

and today my hairstylist asked if I lose a lot of hair, and I asked her if a lot had come out when she was washing it

and she said not a whole bunch but I should still get my thyroid checked

and looking at the symptoms of hypothyroidism I'm like huh. ...yeah probably

but I guess my question is has anyone dealt with hypothyroidism and what can you do about it if that is the case

I'm also completely uninsured bc apple health dumped me after I got that last contract lmao

so basically how expensive are we talking

my mom takes medication for it but i've never asked how much it costs. google says $15 to $100 per month? which is. a really big range.

I'm hypothyroid, and have been a long time! I can't say exactly what sort of costs you're looking at, because it depends a lot on where you are in the country and which type of thyroid replacement you're on. But my costs have generally been in the $20-25 per month range, even when my insurance isn't helping.

(With insurance it can be even less, but obviously that's less helpful)

And my doctors have generally worked with me on costs -- I've had to switch a time or two because of changes in costs and my doctors have typically written a new prescription if I asked
