omg this meeting

omg this is the most boring meeting

this is the most POINTLESS meeting

and yet it's super vital to my job

but it's SO BORING

those are the worst kinds of meetings. :|

My hell is having project management explained to me over and over and over again with nothing actually accomplished

and that is where I am

"we can't actually do anything until we have the seminar in a month or so where we decide things but let's just show you a ton of charts where we admit we don't know what we're doing on anything'

I actually know a lot of Project Management because 1. I've done it and 2. I actually worked for a startup that was trying to be specifically for project management recruitment so yes, I get it, I know how agile works

M. Gustave : I have been stuck in meetings since 8:30 this morning

oh god I am so sorry

and I don't get to do like anything in any of them

it's just listening forever

that was my life at my last job tbh

I LIKE doing CAB calls. I'll sit in that cab call for an hour and a half and rock socks

but this is just my brain slowly turning into mush

M. Gustave : we're in the midst of like, putting things together etc after a merger and trying to combine service desks and omg

I long for the day when I get to just do my job instead of my job + things that are all time critical that I only barely have control over

yes yes they are

basically what they're saying is 'we want to convince you to have this product as close to 'out of the box' as possible and literally our whole process is going to be to do so but we don't actually know what we're doing until these 10 days of seminars to hash that out so literally THIS IS ALL THEORY CRAFTING

"and here's how we're going to be planning things out'

what a waste of time

oh lord, my husband works for a company that just got acquired; that whole process is a Thing.

ugggg that sounds torturous

it's so awful

oh, god, I'm so sorry. It sounds as bad as the day I spent at Franklin Covey.

but you know what I have?

I have a giant bowl of pho

and life is not so bad now
