the pacing sounds like its shit but the actual endings are pretty predictable plus both ghost and brienne survived and that's all I really cared about

do I see Dany descending into madness as of the end of book 5? absolutely

two books of that kind of thing probably would make it very natural but I'm gathering the show went like a grocery list of "Dany goes mad queen, x y and z go here and die" rather than giving them any time to get to that point logically

but I'm team book either GRRM will finish them or Brandan Sanderson will and I'll get more politics and less dragons and rape as I prefer and sup on the salt of the show peeps
