At some point, I really need to sit down and watch the other movies (and maybe rewatch the first one) and the specials and web show.

Though I have seen clips of Forgotten Friendship.

honestly, I know it's a lot of important material by now, but to help out: the first four are the ones that are really important to the narrative (EG, Rainbow Rocks, Friendship Games, and Legend of Everfree)

those set up the premises of the rest of the series. then it all became a loose interconnection of two minute clips and occasional specials, and can pretty much be watched in any order

Forgotten Friendship has some important stuff for Sunset's personal arc, but that's about it

That makes sense since they stopped putting them in theaters after Legend of Everfree (or was it Friendship Games)?

Rainbow Rocks, but Everfree was the last 70 minute one. there were 3 22 minute episodes, then youtube shorts, with the occasional 45 minute special
