super enjoyable and easy to digest food of a series

Castlevania would have been so good except the pacing of season 2 was so... strange

SHI✨NO✨BU : pacing overall was strange

I gave season 1 a pass because it was basically a movie interspersed with credit sequences

but 8 episodes with weird cut off points, half of which were about vampires talking to each other instead of our heroes snarking and/or fighting vampires

very odd choice

yeah they really focused on characterization

which I didn't mind too much surprisingly but it felt like we spent more time with the villains than our heroes

right, like the characterization of the heroes was so much fun that I wanted to watch 8 episodes of them bickering together, not the vampires bickering together

season 2; a jock, an emo goth, and nerd girl hit the books

also to no one's surprise, i really like alucard and how even though he looks elegant and refined, just gets right down to flipping the bird and swearing like the angry teen he is
