almost ready to go - having just this moment stuck the stamps on the envelopes (and filled in the deposit slip stuff for the cheque).

now waddled the mile to the end of the village to the Post Office (and back again). There was a bit of a queue for the counter and I temporarily lost the postbox but otherwise it was OK-ish (back and knee hurting more than lungs and heel today).
