rl story time I was just reminded of how one time when I was like 18??? maybe idk I went to the ER cos of serious stomach pain

and they did a scan and found like all my lymph nodes were swollen

and the first question the doc asked after that was "have you been out of the country lately?" which is probably one of the things you do NOT wanna hear from a doc

in the end they blasted me with super strong antibiotics and never told me what they thought it was but now just about every year twice a year or so my glands get all swollen and hurt and I'm dealing w that right now so I wonder what plague I have

my room mate gets this from time to time, they never figured out what it was. He occasionally has to get some strong pain killers for it iirc

I think they were talking surgery to remove some of them giving him issues, but he doesn't want to do that/its too expensive

did they ask him if he'd been out of country too?

i mean it only lasts like a week or so for me so it's not the worst but boy do i not feel good

yeah it makes him pretty sick and its hard for him to walk because of the specific nodes that are affected and he's usually in a good deal of pain for a few days or so and then it goes away, so he's just been sort of dealing with it as it comes and goes?

i wonder what the mosquito that fucked us up was carrying tbh

I think he occasionally gets things looked at to be sure nothing is getting worse...but yeah, no idea whats causing it

bleh I hate mosquitos

a lot of times they ask that just so they can narrow down what they're focusing on looking for first, but damn it's weird that they never told you what it was.
