Oof, those are a real bitch to heal. But very often smaller animals can recover without surgery, from what I understand.

This injury is a slight hitch in the goal of getting Nemo to lose weight.

I'm less worried than I was last night in any event. Got the pet stairs out to keep him from trying to jump on the bed (which he tired to do last night.)

Also when I first gave him his pill, I thought I got it down him.... but then I heard a ping and he spat it out in an empty food bowl

I got it down him on the second try. Nice of him to spit it up where I could easily find it.
