I'm a little confused when we're all back but then going through the same motions as before, except this time the Lingering Will showed up to fight TerraNort. But why'd he show up this time and not before? I unno, guess some plot stuff still needed explaining.
That said, I'm SUPER glad I watched Back Cover before this because it gives me some context to some of the faces that suddenly showed up, and when all those names suddenly listed over my menu bar, there's a warm fuzziness inside like... those that actually played meant something!
Now we got RikuNort to fight against and he's summoning a shit load of Heartless and I got Mickey looking like he's about to pull a Donald Duck, so... here we go.
So a thought I had as we go to face off against the 13 agents of darkness, is..
How trustworthy are Xehanort's picks?
Like, I get picking himself like 6 times is one thing, but he was also recruiting people like Demyx and Vexen who... well, I get Vexen, but Demyx never really seemed into the whole 'lets plunge the world into darkness' thing
Gonna take a brief moment to say, while Xehanort's new VA isn't bad, I miss Leonard Nimoy. I know there's not really a way to properly replace him, but I still miss him
So... Xigbar was only into this because Xehanort said he'd give him his? That's... kind of weird. You'd think after the first time Xehanort changed bodies, he'd get suspicious but... hmm
Vanitas is probably one of the most evil side villains we've had. He's unapologetic in how nasty he is. In a way, it's kinna refreshing compared to the other villains.
Something I like is how thematically appropriate all this fights are. They seem to fit for who they're fighting against and they're using the music from their respective games.
"I knew i never stood a chance. I thought I could defy my fate but when the other betrayed us, I found I did not care. And then, nothing else seemed to matter anymore"
So Sora's going back on a journey to find Kairi, Mickey returns to his kingdom and hey, Yen Sid's back. The BBS babies pay their respects to their master. The Proper Fraction group getting their issues with an additional 4th member (awww...) and then some.
His little teleport away and leave a exploding copy behind is cheap but eventually worked through it
I didn't play the damn mobile game and I get what they were going for. It's a very NieR twist. I liked it
That's pretty nice coming from Donald who's been frequently calling Sora a half pint for so long.

Dammit Larxene, I like you but I really want to know more about you
So Marluxia didn't know who he was? That's why he was in with Xehanort? Hmm
But I'll do a couple of this battle spheres first
....May my heart be my guiding key
Uhh..... a couple things I guess?
Aiming a little close to home there
Oddly inspiring words from a major villain
Kinna bummed I didn't get any answer about that black box though. Grr.
Sora is in Shibuya from The World Ends With You, another actual game Nomura worked on and all.
