[Link's Awakening] I'm not expecting to see the Colour Dungeon back -- the entire gimmick goes against modern accessibility standards and it existed to sell GBCs - but I'd at least like to see something to replace it. Thoughts?

I know it was only in DX, but.

If nothing else its dungeon item was super useful and I'd love to see something replace it too

I do feel like there's probably gonna be a fair amount of new shit just because the amount of content a full Switch release can handle vastly exceeds what the GB/GBC could handle even accounting for the graphical upgrade

I think the closest game you can compare it to is Pokemon Let's Go in terms of being a pretty direct remake of a literal GB/GBC game

But I feel like what worked for additional content in LGPE wouldn't really work for additional content in Link's Awakening, so I'm pretty curious about what they'll add

the color dungeon was themed around red and blue and that's straight up the joycon colors

maybe they'll do something joycon-themed instead

honestly, I think what is done depends on how much the fans liked the original. I've seen games get remakes that kept things done due to technical limitations at the time because the fans would get pissed if it was changed. But less popular changes made in the past can be changed because fans disliked it and want something better
