a cosplay model tried to drag us on twitter for not paying her when she signed all of her paperwork with her stage name and therefore couldn't cash the check she was sent.......

... girl that's on you not the company
kates!!
....girl. girl
kates!!
you'd think that "use your dang legal name for paperwork" would be something obvious, and yet....

i go by tai everywhere. my legal name is still on my bank acct. you sure as shit know i talked to HR and got my paychecks under my legal name
amyorama.
don't get me wrong. this is in regards to cosplay trading cards that we're doing that are legally ambiguous licensing-wise, and FOR SURE the way the promo tweets were structured was stupid...
amyorama.
(tagging random models instead of who was pictured in the promo)
amyorama.
but honey. come on.
amyorama.
Comments like "You need to be sure you credit people properly." Legit.
amyorama.
"These people never paid me when I gave them a non-legal name and then never alerted them to the error." Not legit.
amyorama.
Couldn't tell ya, friend.
amyorama.
I once also didn't receive paperwork from a model, so I sent her an email about about it...
amyorama.
She replied like, "No, I'm pretty sure I sent it."
amyorama.
like. why wouldn't you just re-send it right off the bat?
amyorama.
>"I don't have this form I need from you."
>"Yes, you do."
amyorama.
I haven't handled paperwork for creatives apart from cosplayers, so I'm wondering if they're all like this, haha.
a cursed bird.
amyorama.
I've also got a model we legitimately goofed on, made a crediting mistake in an issue, which is a simple clerical error and she's been up my butt all week.
amyorama.
emailed me, called me before I had time to answer the email... Not going off, but PA and... bleh.
amyorama.
It's been a weird week for cosplay folks, I guess!
