Canonically, Sasami is actually a skilled stavesmaster.

She was trained by her grandmother Lady Seto and is skilled to be able to defeat a fully trained Galaxy Police officer in battle and can beat Tenchi in a sparring match.

However, canon's mum on how much is her own skill and how much is Tsunami giving her a push.

In MoE, Sasami doesn't use any attack styles as she tends to fall back on being support.

Nozomi, like most other Pretty Cure, doesn't know how to fight untransformed.

She's not even athletically talented

(for the record, only two Cures are actually trained in any sort of martial arts and that's Itsuki and Alice.)

As a Pretty Cure, Nozomi's fighting style is probably more of a brawler style, maybe inching closer to what you see in Dragon Ball Z

Then again, most Cures are like that.

In MoE, Nozomi retains the Cure fighting style, but also has Red Mage as a back up.
