I have come to the conclusion that I simply don't care if this client buys my writing or not. This is the year I begin to write for me in my own voice, rather than contorting my content to meet SEO and the ridiculous ideas of clients.

Good for you! Yes it's nice to get paid, but there's a point when your own creativity has taken a back seat and that is so stifling.
