the frogs will be nice and safe now. One of them tucked itself into the liner while I was there - presumably after seeing me looming overhead.

the local forecast was for a very -ve temperature overnight though - more than enough to freeze the pond.

it might just freeze up here the next two nights, but only to -1C.

they were threatening me with -6C.

there's frost on the roofs today and the temperature in the most exposed room of this house is further down than previous mornings (I'm trying to warm it up now!) but I think it would have been worse if the night had really spent much time as low as -6C.
