so i fly back to nyc tomorrow and one of the things i was HOPING to do while i was here was go through my childhood room, because i know there's shit in here that's like... useful and i want but ive never been able to sift through all the garbage
ANYWAY i was trying to pack tonight and found one shoe out of a set I thought I wanted to keep so i spent like an hour digging through a small corner of stuff
i threw out an entire bag of garbage but. please travel with me through the things i kept because this is such a picture of who i was as an under-21 individual
the stuff i kept: - old pair of hot topic platform heels. they're so delightfully cheesy i dont know how i would ever purchase another pair. - three pokemon game guides of which i thought i lost, to join the rest i have in nyc already - one issue of a neopets magazine. it's just so fun
- a very long pair of old converse shoelaces. - a small purse that goes with my prom dress (that i still have), also assumed lost - a pile of cd's of my most formative music before downloading stuff was a Thing. here's a list of what i took

many years ago i did a panel called The Homestuck Monologues, which was literally just a bunch of cosplayers writing Homestuck-centic skits that we performed. it was like... really weird, in retrospect, but people were so into it? it was all the fun of seeing a skit competition except it was All Homestuck.
anyway. i did a feferi skit many years ago that involved her trying to settle eridan and sollux's disagreements. that turned into her talking to sock puppets and having them make out
my original act wasn't recorded properly so i had to re-do it which is why my horns are cut off and there's no audience. but. i think i remembered most of the words.
i also encovered a very well preserved shadowbox with a ton of small folded papercrafts of hetalia characters which i dont know what to do with so it's staying here right now
like its NEVER been completely cleaned out because my parents have never moved. im still staying in my childhood bedroom with all of my stuff since i was a baby and because my mom's a hoarder none of it gets thrown out unless i take it into my hands
straight up ran through the dance floor and I got sprayed across the nose and some really kind lovely person dressed as Naruto let me use their room and cheap hotel soap to get it off
I distinctly remember singing the entirety of the Scarlet Pimpernel/Jekyll and Hyde in the hallway with one of the Marluxia cosplayers while hanging out waiting for the 18+ panels
yeah they were... definitely detained. It was a girl flanked by two others who were kind of... pushing people out of the way so that she could run through and just unload on the room?
