You'd have to do some pretty heavy AUing to get him to fit in an AU game set on Earth

He HAS escaped from the Underworld but Hades' minions keep trying to drag him back?

The game's implying pretty hard that Hades is ALSO stuck down there

If Zagreus dies in game he just shows back up a few days later having clawed his way out of the underworld once again

Makes sense

The only tricky part is that the game is about trying to escape the underworld

So since Daybreak takes place not in the underworld

Gotta twist canon in knots just a bit
