I'm just so tired

this is draining the life out of me

I think I last left our story at the manager lady telling us to call back the next day and check in about whether or not her supervisor okayed a month of rent being waived

well, stick swung by the apartment on her way home from work to see if they'd finished replacing the moldy floor boards under the carpet

the boards were replaced (hopefully all the necessary layers, because they nailed the top one down this time) and there was a note on our door

a very short note that just said their supervisors found no grounds for a rent credit

so... we called them yesterday and asked for the contact info of their supervisors

to which they replied that we can write a letter or an email, give it to them, and they'll pass it along.

I'm going to be talking to stick tonight on what she wants to do next

that is the company that owns them, but they own a lot of properties so figuring out who exactly to contact is going to take effort

I feel like I have no functioning brain cells left so I'm glad it's friday. we'll have to wait until monday to do everything anyway

this weekend will be us moving back into our apartment (yay.) and maybe drawing up a solid timeline and gathering our resources, if we have the time and energy for it

I also talked to a friend of ours who is moving out to the Seattle area from the Midwest and was asking him if he'd come across any affordable neighborhoods or anything during his search, and he directed me to the Seattle Queer Housing Exchange group, so.... maybe that will help us find a new place

yeah if i were you guys i'd strongly consider calling the corporate office and coming back to them til you got to talk to somebody above those two's heads

idk. i get that you maybe don't want to burn the bridge more since there's been all this back and forth already, but uhhhh

yeah, it comes down to how much we want to fight for a month of rent

it would REALLY be nice, and I still think we're completely entitled to it, since they did basically break the lease for a month

but the floor is fixed, the apartment is technically livable again

what about the walls?
