It's not always that easy when you are talking about domestic violence. Even when someone has an "out" to leave, it doesn't mean they don't fear being killed if they do. I'm speaking from very personal experience here. It took over 1,000 miles and a shit ton of courage for me and my boys to be free and safe from my ex-husband.

Mysti : Kaiden : she laughs at the cops when they tell her she’s nuts for staying there. She picks fights to get beaten. Everyone on the block knows how dysfunctional they are

I hope she gets mental help for the traumas she's obviously sustained through the years.

Mysti : I just hope the son doesn’t continue the beatings on his own. Because for years he tried to stop his father and then his father turned him into an alcoholic like him and got the son to join him

I have worked with several women over with domestic abuse backgrounds, it's not as easy as it seems to leave those types of relationships. Her laughing at cops when they try to intervene is often a way she aligns with the abuser in hope of pleasing them so there will less abuse following the cops being there. It's a survival skill for them.
