Oh man, with there now being at least a small chance that fandom will finally slowly migrate off tumblr, I should figure out what I want my pillowfort username to be. I'm pretty sure I still have a code somewhere...

(not that I'm super optimistic that pillowfort will catch on because if dreamwidth taught me anything it's that better-in-every-way-and-similar-to-the-established-fandom-home is generally not where Fandom as a whole goes when its established home gets (even more) untenable but there's no shiny new thing yet either, so pillowfort it is, for now.)

although to be fair, I'm in the somewhat comfortable boat where I used tumblr exclusively for fandom, kittens and some can-we-please-have-a-bit-of-basic-decency-in-the-world posts but didn't use it to keep in touch with anyone, since everyone I want to keep in touch with online also uses other sites or I have other avenues to contact them so for me it's

pretty much aaaaaall tied to fandom so that's the angle I'm looking at it from, and not so much the "have another space to hang out in with friends"

(that one, I can see pillowfort being good for, although of course the question there becomes "why not just keep in touch with these friends through the established channels" but we'll see. I still want to try.)
