Status update: uuuuugh

it's been over a month since our apartment was flooded and tomorrow we're going to meet with our landlords to physically point out what the problem is so that they can fix it.

I was anxious about it pretty much as soon as I woke up.

because I'm pretty sure this thing will get fixed this time, but it's been so long and they've been so dodgy about it that I'm getting really worried that we'll show them our obviously moldy flooring and they'll be like, "Well I don't see what the problem is."

like the air in there is so bad that it makes my face itch and I'm very worried they'll be like "nope seems fine just open a window."

I am trying very hard not to fall into a bad brain cycle where I just worry that this will never get fixed and we'll never get to go home.

and I've had to take so much time off of work for this, so I'm worried that my work thinks I'm slacking off... or that I'm not around enough to be useful to my team...

it's just a bad place right now and I am 300% ready for it to be over

I feel like such a boob but part of me is considering like, sending my mom after them.

I don't want to be like "moooooom they're bullying me ;;" because I am an adult and should handle my own shit, but... she always gets stuff like this done...

And sometimes, as much as I hate to concede it, age can be a factor people consider.

Especially in older generations, who can look at people our age as ... IDK, soft?
