This version of Rose: I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO CALL THE REY FIXATION, OKAY. I can sympathize with that level of devotion, but I'm not super sure how reliable it makes him for this mission!!!
Rose: progressively annoyed with Finn being awestruck by Canto Bight on the one hand and apparently not possessed of many thoughts that don't begin with REY SAYS on the other hand
Rose: DEEP BREATH But, okay, I can get it - it all makes sense, and it doesn't make him a bad person, and even if Rey sounds WAY too good to be true through Finn goggles, I'm sure if I actually meet her, I'll like her a lot.
Rose: ... ... .... ....I swear though, ONE MORE WORD about how pretty it is here and I'm pushing him into one of these dumb dinky over cholorinated fountains.
Rose: ... ... ....frustratingly, considering I was angry at her for giving me advice in the first flush of my grief at the time, Admiral Holdo was totally right about how now I have to figure out what I'm living for and what my future is. UGH OKAY FINE.
..asdflisdfld oh my gosh, she wrote the next entry aboard the Falcon while in recovery, and it's punctuated with I GOTTA GET THIS DOWN FAST before FINN SEES ME DOING SOMETHING THAT'S NOT SLEEPING and FREAKS OUT AGAIN GEEZE
(This is an aside after a really earnest spill her guts paragraph about how she didn't bite him because she was hoping to get out of the situation alive at that point, but because she wanted to TAKE something from him, she wanted to leave a mark on him, she didn't want to be just washed away like that - )
