Well, I'm sure they are trying to cash in on the "ready made" market. Think how popular those programs are that mail you the ingredients with recipes for your meals.
I made my own "Chinese" food last night, pre-cubed pork, quick rice, bagged stir fry veggies and Kung Pao sauce made from powder in an envelope. It was good!
we have something like that here, but several of the stores are using fresh ingredients, with a recipe card to go along with it. Competition for Aprons, BluePlate, etc.
no, mainly because I find knowing what I want to make then getting the ingredients myself is still cheaper. I've never had money to play with in my grocery budget. I have more now that I don't have kids or T to feed, but I still am a bit miserly...for now
