holier than thou people are the worst. This same person when I saw her in the UK (she married and moved there) was like “lol isn’t my accent so British now?” And no. It wasn’t.

So then she laid it on super thick

Like I get it. You were a poor girl from FL who moved to England and now feel proper and cultured but this does not make you look cultured

Like I get wanting to disconnect from the US especially with the current political climate

But the way she does it is so strange

I met up with her (we were high school “friends”) when I visited the UK in 2014 and when looking for each other she told her husband to look for the super American looking people

So of course it took us forever to find each other haha and her husband was like “they don’t look American at all”

Because I guess we weren’t wearing big American flags and fanny packs I suppose

In fact I got asked for directions from British people like 10 times a day while I was there and then as soon as I opened my mouth they looked like they’d been slapped HAHA

Just very “I am better than you now” which is annoying
