For what it's worth, a Goblin Glider does a good job of getting you most of the way from Vorrik's mountaintop to Warlord Dagu's beach cave.

I expect Demon Hunters will have an enjoyable time seeing how far they can stretch their own glides.

It's a mage only trick, but slow fall plus mount can cover a surprisingly long distance.

Cast slow fall, mount, shoot off into the air. I haven't tested whether a longer run up helps, but the extra mount speed even for a short distance makes a difference.

And if you use the bug you get a nice water landing.

one other thing you can do if a mage is cast slow fall, run off, and you can cast slow fall again. It dismounts you when you do, but the forward speed doesn't change.
