[Transformers] We got to set a making of clip and a brief scene from Bumblebee before the '86 movie tonight. I was excited from the trailers, but now I'm completely sold on this film.

First of all, Travis Knight actually talks about playing with the toys during the clip.

I've always argued the films wouldn't be great until, like the MCU stuff, you had people working on it who loved and understood the property.

I think we have that now.

But.. I felt more of an emotional connection with Bumblebee in a couple of minutes than I did over all the Bay movies.

There's so much personality to him, and a big point in the Making Of stuff was how he was a CHARACTER in this film.

I'll be honest, I think that got lost after the first film.

And even in that one, the Autobots felt secondary.

I mean, apparently one of the Decepticons is a reference to NIGHTBIRD.

In Bumblebee, I mean.

So I think there's a chance this could be the movie we've all been waiting for.

A reference to Nightbird?! Wow... that is (somewhat) obscure and awesome! XD And I think I'm in complete agreement with you, with everything you've said. :3

I was surprised when I heard that too.

But... yeah. The subtleties of 'Bee's animation in the clip I saw, it was all so good.
