TDM Kaelas- Black Jewels Trilogy

Oh man, I am so tempted to bring back my Saetan....

The old geezer was a blast to play (though the power-nerfing might make him angry, and he skeery when he angry)

Other than that: imagine a cross between Mister Rogers and Vincent Price, that's Saetan in a nutshell.

Tempted, though, to change up PBs, maybe Ricardo Montalban, since he looks a bit closer to Saetan's description (darker skin, darker hair)

Problem is... finding PBs of actors from further back than the last twenty/thirty years. :: sighs ::

I lucked out with Vincent Price icons, so I used him as a PB.

One even had a spiderweb as the background, so it was perfect, given Saetan's status as a male Black Widow (ie. Black Jewels talk for a magically gifted person who can craft Webs, which are used a lot of things)

Healing, creating powerful dreams/illusions, other cool things.

It kind of grew beyond a trilogy: there's four other novels set in the same universe, plus two collections of novellas/short stories.

It's been a while since I've played him, so I might be rusty as all out.

But maybe rereading some of the novellas might help (not sure I have time to reread the trilogy)

Best order to read - Daughter of the Blood (Book 1)
Heir to the Shadows (Book 2)
Queen of the Darkness (Book 3)
The Invisible Ring
Ignore the two short story collections, and pretend those abombinations were never written, then read Tangled Webs, Tangled Webs
The Shadow Queen

At least in my opinion. Reading Invisible ring, which is a prequel before the main series gives waaaaay too much away about one some of the mains, while not suffering from being read after with ONE exception. The short story collections are just.... :: frustrated sounds:: The last two though... are amazing.
