you need to let it soften naturally by leaving it out

what i would do with the butter is put it in a container and then put the container in hot water

it'll heat up by convection

I suppose you could probably ^ thqt

you could probably do it with a double boiler on the stove too

Sadly, leaving the butter just out is dangerous because Sparkplug likes to eat butter :| and cream cheese

despite her knowing she's not allowed on the counter

You could also put it out and under something she can't knock over if you want to let it soften naturally,
