(work) So I'm straight up appalled at my management right now.

So. We are a 7 person department. Just after I was hired, one of my co-workers went to PRN (as needed) status. So let's say 6.5 now.

Then, another co-worker accepted a job being a receptionist in another location. 5.5.

Then, yesterday, a third coworker (who has been undergoing a rough divorce and is a mother of a middle schooler) went to our management and said "Look. I'm a single mom now. Is there any way we can either work out my schedule or work out a small pay bump?" (Keep in mind, she's been here over 2 years so far).

Their ACTUAL RESPONSE was "Well, since you are a single mother, can't you get government assistance?"

They stated they will not fill the PRN person's permanent position. They have not posted either of the other two vacancies. And one person solely works from a different campus.

Not only is this bullshit, it's....it's frankly disheartening.

Sounds remarkably, stupidly correct for that company.

Thankfully, the most recent employee to leave gave a verbal, courteous "Fuck you" on the way out. "With that topic, I'm going to go upstairs and polish up my resume. You should post my position. I'm leaving when I get a new job."

I was really, really lucky to have the person I did as a supervisor when I first started out. It's been like watching everything destroying itself down to the ground ever since.

Yeah. It's stupid. and it's shitty. and the more they treat their employees like shit the more people are going to leave. and they just... don't care.

And the company fucking gossips, too. We all know. Fuck, our providers know too.

Yeah, sorry, I'm not sure I can help you be optimistic about that company. I wish I could, but I'm the wrong person for that.
